Major (retd.) Patrick Leopold Alexander Aiken was born in Kingston on August 8, 1954 to Lela and Louis Aiken. He graduated from Kingston Technical High School and went on to complete a diploma in Land Surveying at The College of Arts Science and Technology (University of Technology, Jamaica).

Patrick served his country as an officer of the Jamaica Defence Force and retired honourably with the rank of Major. He continued to serve his country in the public sector (National Land Agency). He was dedicated to his local church where he served as an Elder for over a decade and greatly impacted his community.

Patrick was promoted to his heavenly home on January 27, 2023. His legacy lives on in his wife, Joyette: children Dominic (Kerry-Ann) and Annaleise; grandson Zayne; and siblings Erica (Mike), Arnold (Hope), Radcliffe (Pat), Louis (Barbara), Athena and Ansel (Virgilia), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

The funeral service will be at Garrison Church of Ascension on February 11, 2013. The viewing will take place at 10:00am and the service will commence promptly at 11:00am
